Everyday Remarkable Project

Following my experiences in my adopted country – Australia, In 2013 I interviewed ten Venezuelan women (my country of origin) and launched the book in 2014. These women offered me their rich and colourful experiences in ten inspiring and simple stories.

2024 will be the 10th anniversary of Everyday stories from ten remarkable women and I am setting myself a new challenge on a new project for everyday women of the world. Stayed tuned.

A breath of fresh air.

Thank you so much Maria.

A welcome reminder that every day presents a treasured gift; the opportunity to share, challenge, explore and create “

At last, a book showcasing the aspirations of women who dared to dream and realised their dreams. Thank you Maria for sharing these stories.

Wonderful hearing about women who have achieved so much in such an unassuming way. What appeals is the manner in which they went about attaining their goals- no fanfare but a wonderful belief in themselves and a strong sense of purpose. Loved the ten question technique in bringing out the inner thoughts of the women.

There are some good old fashioned values being celebrated. Without exception, all the women have:

  • Valued education and understood how education can open up opportunities and the mind.
  • Valued their familial and friendship connections.
  • Understood the value of being hard working and having perseverance in their undertakings.

One of the women used these words – ‘be a multiplier of good things’. When I read that, I immediately said to myself, yes, this is what I want to be!
Thanks for sharing this book with me.

There are many books written about the achievements of well-known extra-ordinary people by authors who are themselves well-known. But for most of us it can be difficult to relate to those stories because most of us are ordinary people and it is not easy to see ourselves following in the footsteps of such well-known people.

This book shows us that we don’t have to be well-known or unusual or exceptional in any way to achieve what we want. We just have to be determined to achieve what we want and we do have to go about it the right way.

Michael Grossbard

I found the individual stories inspiring and even now continue to be inspired by the determination, vision and courage which drove those women to fulfil their dreams. The fulfilment of the running tasks, which then set the benchmark for goal achievement helped me to understand the grit and determination inside these women.

I would say that they are attributes that you possess and I think that is why you can relate so well to them. Coming from poor beginnings to significant roles in the corporate world, particularly being women and in those times, has to inspire anyone who reads their stories.

The book, I believe it to be an inspirational one ,especially for women who are at a crossroad in their life or simply finding more of life challenges in this rapidly changing world.
An uplifting, positive and warm feeling tome.
Congratulations.

Each woman will resonate differently with the reader. It is a blessing to have a snapshot into their lives through this medium. As you read through the stories you have a sense that alongside each woman you too are asking yourself the same set of questions. I certainly felt a strong need to reflect on these myself and participate in a parallel journey of discovery.
